Faith at the Heart of the Family

In today’s busy world, families invest deeply in physical, emotional, and intellectual growth, yet spiritual life is often neglected. As a church in this community, our mission is to place God at the center of family life because faith is not only personal, it is nurtured and passed on at home. Parents have the greatest influence on their children’s faith. Long before they encounter other worldviews, children observe what is lived daily. A genuine faith, seen in prayer, trust, and love- builds a strong foundation. If we want the next generation to know God, we must first be an intentional example of our faith.
Worship is more than music; it is a way of life that honour’s God. It is expressed in gratitude, daily choices, and how we respond to challenges. When families live this way, ordinary moments become opportunities to honour God. At the same time, we face constant influence from secular culture, social media, and societal expectations. These often suggest that worth is based on appearance or achievement. It is not an even playing field. In such a world, holding onto faith is essential. By passing it on intentionally, we give our children a foundation to make informed choices; that God’s love is unconditional and that each person has a unique purpose. With God, we find true completeness.
When the world Is shaken, God remains certain

In recent times, the news around the world can feel overwhelming. Wars, conflicts, natural disasters, and uncertainty can easily fill our hearts with worry and fear. It is natural to feel concerned when we see such events unfolding, but the Bible reminds us that even in the midst of trouble, we are not without hope.
Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” These words remind us that God is not distant or unaware of what is happening in the world. He is present, close to those who trust in Him, offering strength and comfort in difficult times.
Psalm 46:2 encourages us not to fear even when circumstances seem chaotic: “Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” In other words, even when life feels unstable and uncertain, we can find peace in knowing that God remains unchanging and faithful.
For us, this hope is centred in Jesus. When the world feels uncertain, the invitation of the Bible is simple: turn to Him and trust Him. In Joel 2:32 we read, “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” This promise is open to all people. It reminds us that salvation, hope, and peace are found through calling on God.
At times like these, rather than allowing fear to overwhelm us, we can choose to place our trust in God, who is our refuge and strength. No matter what happens in the world around us, His presence remains a steady source of hope.
