· The One True God
There is only one true and living God, the Maker of heaven and earth and all that is in them. He eternally exists as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
· Creation and the Fall
God created humanity in his image. However, the first human beings, Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God’s commands, and since then moral corruption and sinful nature has passed on to all humanity. Thus, all have sinned and need redemption.
· Redemption through Christ
God is love and out of his love, he sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the full penalty for sins of the world. Jesus lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and sent his Holy Spirit to be with us. He died on the cross for every one of our sins and he will return again in glory.
· Salvation for All Who Believe
Anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and repents to our Lord Jesus Christ receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
· Baptism and Discipleship
Following salvation, all believers are called to be born again in water and spirit and publicly declare their faith through water baptism and become disciples of Christ by joining the family of God which is the Church.
· Life in the Spirit
Disciples of Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit can lead holy lives by overcoming sin, by bearing the fruit of the Spirit and by being empowered with gifts of the spirit to do good works towards others and fulfill God’s purposes in their lives thus safeguarding their salvation and working out their spiritual growth to the very end.
· The Nature and Purpose of the Church
The Church plays a central role in fulfilling God’s purpose for this age and God’s power will be displayed to the entire universe through the Church to the praise of his glory. It is not a building but a spiritual family where God dwells. The church functions as a body with each believer forming a valuable god-ordained role with Christ as its head. Every believer is called to lead a life of holiness and righteousness being filled with the Holy spirit. Christ is building his Church and his Kingdom for his return; nothing can stop this mission, not even Satan.
· The Great Commission
The great commission by Jesus is to spread the light of the gospel to the world. Through the Holy Spirit, believers have authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead. Every believer can be empowered by our Lord Jesus Christ to be a witness for him and to participate in making disciples and multiplying churches.
· Ongoing Fellowship
Each believer should fellowship and celebrate the Lord’s Supper regularly with the Church. This will serve as a way of remembering his identity with Christ and with Christ’s body, the Church, until Christ’s return.
· The Return of Christ and Final Judgment
Jesus Christ will return imminently, personally, and bodily to judge the living and the dead, reward the faithful, and establish his eternal kingdom. Until then, the Church is called to live holy, obedient lives, be watchful, prayerful, and be salt and light in the world.
· Human Life and Dignity
Every person is made in God’s image and is worthy of respect and love, from conception to natural death. The sanctity of human life is to be upheld by the Church. God has made every person with a purpose and living according to that purpose guarantees a life with complete satisfaction and blessings.
· The Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells all believers, guiding, empowering, and gifting them for service and godly living. A life lived in fullness of the Holy spirit ensures believers are brought safely to eternal glory.
· Eternal Destiny
The glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ for his Church is coming soon. He will judge and reward, the living and the dead and will establish his kingdom forever. Believers will dwell in the new heaven and new earth, eternally rejoicing in God’s mercy and justice.
